The man, who was found in West Drayton, hid in the bushes after spotting officers who then went to check out what he was up to

A man who jumped out of his car and hid in bushes from Police has been arrested after they searched his vehicle and found a large bag of cannabis. The man left his vehicle in West Drayton, Hillingdon after he spotted officers who then went to check what was happening before they found him hiding in the nearby bushes.

Upon inspection of the individual's vehicle they found a large bag of cannabis and arrested the man for possession with intent to supply. Officers were on patrol in the West London spot at the time and were not thought to be looking for the man until he was spotted leaving his vehicle to hide in bushes.

Hillingdon Police took to social media to share their success story and reminded members of the public that they are 'always looking.'

On Twitter they wrote: "#WestAreaVSU team 2 were on patrol in #WestDrayton when a male decamped a vehicle upon seeing officers. He was found hiding in bushes nearby. Search of his vehicle found this large bag of cannabis. Male arrested for possession with intent to supply. #alwayslooking."

They also shared an image of the large bag of cannabis sealed in a transparent zip-lock bag which they put on top of a blue car, which may have been the car the man fled from before his arrest.
